PYT - Speed Signs
Speed limit signs that read the road -- and change by themselves when you upgrade it. Or pick any sign. km/h or mph, International or US.
What it does
Drop it beside any road and it shows that road's real speed limit — and changes by itself when you upgrade the road. km/h, UK mph or the American SPEED LIMIT sign.

Choose Auto and the sign looks at the road beside it: a 50 km/h street gets a 50, a country road an 80, a motorway a 130. Upgrade the road and every Auto sign along it follows within seconds — no more signs that lie.

What you get
- Auto reads the road — the sign shows the road's own speed limit, rounded to the nearest real sign, and keeps up when the road changes
- Your units, your style — km/h or mph (or follow the game's setting), International round signs or the US SPEED LIMIT plate
- Pick any sign — 30-130 km/h, 20-70 mph or US 15-80 mph from one list, or No limit for the national speed limit sign
- Snap to road — it stands at the kerb, facing the drivers on its side. Free — put it exactly where you like (Auto still reads the road)
- Your language — the build menu speaks all 13 Transport Fever 3 languages
- Scenery only — charges nothing, slows nothing, needs no other mod
How to start
- Road menu > the PYT tab > Speed Limit Sign
- Leave Speed: Auto and Snap to road
- Drop it beside a road, on the side of the drivers who should read it — it faces them and shows their limit

Neu in 1.1: Linksverkehr – die Schilder wissen jetzt, auf welcher Straßenseite ihr fahrt.
- Linksverkehr – mit der Mod Left Hand Traffic schaut ein an die Straße gesetztes Schild jetzt von selbst zum Verkehr auf der linken Seite
- Neue Einstellung: Verkehr fährt – Auto / Rechts / Links. Auto folgt eurem Spiel (links mit der Mod Left Hand Traffic); Rechts oder Links, wenn ihr es selbst festlegen wollt – auch bei einem schon gebauten Schild
- Kurz gesagt: die Schilder zeigen auf Linksverkehr-Karten in die richtige Richtung; auf Rechtsverkehr-Karten ändert sich nichts

Worum es geht: Tempolimit-Schilder, die die Straße lesen: Mit Auto zeigt das Schild das echte Tempolimit der Straße daneben – und wechselt von selbst, wenn ihr die Straße ausbaut. Oder jedes Tempo aus der Liste, oder Kein Limit. km/h oder mph, runde internationale Schilder oder das amerikanische SPEED-LIMIT-Schild. Das Baumenü ist auf Deutsch.
So geht’s:
- Im Straßenmenü den Reiter PYT öffnen und Tempolimit-Schild wählen
- Tempo: Auto und An Straße einrasten so lassen
- Neben die Straße setzen – das Schild dreht sich zu den Fahrern und zeigt ihr Tempolimit

OK, the left-hand drivers win — even if I am one, being in Australia. Every sign now knows which side of the road you drive on.
- Left-hand traffic — with the Left Hand Traffic mod, a sign snapped to a road now faces the traffic driving on the left, all by itself
- New setting: Traffic drives on — Auto / Right / Left. Auto follows your game (left with the Left Hand Traffic mod); Right or Left if you ever need to set it yourself — on a placed sign too
- In plain terms: signs face the right way on left-hand maps; right-hand maps don't change
