PYT - Blueprint Exchange

Every release, newest first. Back to the mod page · mod.io

Pending: version 1.3.2

Waiting for mod.io’s approval. A PC copy is on the early-access page; it comes off once mod.io approves.

1.3.1CONSOLE FRIENDLY

⏳ This update (and 1.3) is pending approval — the current version for download is 1.2.2. It works fine on PC. Console players: please don’t open its window until this update is live.

Our windows politely asked the PlayStation for a close button. The PlayStation doesn't have one, took offence and walked out — taking your whole interface with it. We've had a word.

  • In plain terms: on PS5, Blueprint Exchange's windows — and the PYT news and Settings windows — no longer crash the interface. On PC nothing changes
  • Thanks: to Maxmadimus, whose Pay Your Tolls report found it

1.3MEASURE TWICE, PASTE ONCE

Our blueprint office hired an inspector. Nothing gets pasted, moved or taken back until it has had a good look.

In plain terms: what the preview shows is what you get, Undo puts back exactly what was there, and anything BPX can't do whole it now refuses before it touches your map.

  • The preview tells the truth: green fits; amber should fit, so click and it builds; red only when something on the map really is in the way. A paste that will build no longer looks like it won't
  • Undo takes back only your paste: everything that paste built, signals and the track under them included, and nothing that was there before
  • Move an industry: it moves once and keeps its stock. No copy is left behind
  • Move says no up front: a station your selection only half covers, or town streets, can't move whole. Move now refuses before it touches anything and tells you why on the panel
  • Delete: one step, and Undo puts it back with its roads joined up again
  • Parts from a mod you don't have: the paste is refused before it starts, and the message names the mod
  • Clean in place is back (it was switched off in 1.2.2 for safety): Clean checks every piece first and changes nothing until you press Confirm — then the game makes the whole change in one step, and Undo puts it back. A layout that is already neat is left alone, and Clean says so
  • Keys after Copy: N / M (turn), . / , (height) and T (mode) work from the first moment a blueprint is on your mouse. Shift gives fine steps
  • Thanks: to QuantumBlue1, who found and reported the keys and the red preview — reports like this improve the mods for everyone, so keep them coming
1.2.2SAFETY FIRST

Our tidy-up crew got a little too keen with the shovel. They’ve been handed brooms instead.

A word from Epod: Blueprint Exchange rebuilds the lines you draw — and the game is much more forgiving of track drawn by hand than of track a script redraws. We discovered Clean in place was deleting some layouts it couldn’t rebuild, and we’ve put a protection in place so that can’t happen any more. Future updates will help you spot problem areas before you capture them as blueprints. This hotfix is about preventing losses — and always remember to save your game when experimenting with mods that change your layouts.

  • In plain terms: Clean in place no longer changes your map. On some layouts it took the old track up, the game then refused to build the neat version, and the track was lost. Now it tells you how many improvements it found and leaves your layout exactly as it was.
  • Clean up in the Library still works — it makes a cleaned copy you can paste, and never touches the map
  • When an action can’t be done, a small red message now pops up for 5 seconds — the details are in BPX Library > Log
  • Clean in place will change your map again once it can check everything before it touches a single piece
1.2INDUSTRIAL ZONING APPROVED

The Planning Office has extended its permits to heavy industry, issued its first tidy-up orders, and opened a lost-property office.

  • Mines, farms and factories travel. Tick Industries on the panel and Copy, Move and Paste take them along, roads and yards included. A moved industry keeps its stock, its name and its lines, and its entrance road joins up so trucks run straight away. Copies get numbered names. Water industries too. Headquarters, landmarks and the Cleaning Plant stay where they are.
  • Clean. A new tile. Select a layout you drew by hand and press Clean: ends that nearly meet are joined, pieces are lined up with the station, slivers and kinks go — on the map, in place, no copy, no paste. In the Library the sparkle button makes a tidied copy of a blueprint and leaves the original as it is.
  • A Deleted tab. The last 20 deletes wait there. Put back rebuilds a map delete exactly where it stood; Restore returns a copy, move or blueprint to its list.
  • One panel. Press Copy or Move and the panel becomes the Paste panel. Upgrade and Downgrade are one tile with a switch.
  • Two ways to sit on the ground, as two icons on the paste panel: Follow ground grades the layout into the landscape; Keep shape keeps the captured relief and lets the game cut and fill to hold it. Click either, or press T.
  • The preview tells the truth. Green fits. Amber means an objection the paste will get past, such as trees and ground it clears. Red means something on the map is in the way. And the selection box is square to your screen whichever way you turn the view.
  • Smoother pasting, roads that rejoin after a move, a Log coloured by tool, and fixes to Undo, Delete and station joins.
