3.0.1CONSOLE FRIENDLY

⏳ This update is pending approval — the current version for download is 3.0. It works fine on PC. Console players: please don’t open its window until this update is live.

Our windows politely asked the PlayStation for a close button. The PlayStation doesn't have one, took offence and walked out — taking your whole interface with it. We've had a word.

  • In plain terms: on PS5, clicking the PYT button no longer crashes the interface. On PC nothing changes
  • Thanks: to Maxmadimus for reporting it, and for pinning down exactly which button

3.0TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

We've made some improvements to Pay Your Tolls.

But there's something we'd rather you discover for yourself.

Look through the toll booth window. What do you see?

Go on. Zoom right in. 😏

  • In plain terms: every toll booth now has see-through windows, a furnished interior and a proper floor — and they're not empty any more
  • Thanks: to Chris & Ingo (fellow TF3 modders, “Let’s talk about mods”), whose video asked for a more interesting inside — here it is
  • Left-hand traffic: the left-hand drive advocates asked for Speed Signs. In true PYT fashion, we updated everything. With the Left Hand Traffic mod, Pay Your Tolls follows the side your roads drive on — gantry lane lights, Toll Ways, Toll Plazas and road signs, right the moment you place them. Thanks to NovaOfZion for starting it all
  • Toll keepers: one per booth — the Wooden Turnpike's cottage takes one, the bigger plazas more. A full crew earns +25% on the takings, and a bigger plaza may need a minute to fill up after the update
  • Your existing tolls update themselves: no bulldozing, no rebuilding
  • Prefer empty booths?: Configure → Toll keepers: Off 😉
2.9X MARKS THE SPOT

Pirates had treasure maps. You have toll booths. The PYT window now has a map icon, and it knows exactly where the money is.

  • In plain terms: a map icon in the PYT window, beside build and refresh
  • With PYT - Minimap 1.1 or newer: it opens the map on your tolls, each one sized by its car count — see at a glance which earns the most (pick Income in the Minimap and it remembers)
  • Without it: the icon is greyed, and a click shows what the Minimap would show you, and where to get it (search PYT in the mod browser)
