PYT - Late Mixed Cargo Trucks

1.3SMARTER LOADS, LIGHTER FILES

Four trailers, four cargo types, and now a planner that knows which goes where. It came with its own pen.

In plain terms: the PYT - Load Manager is built into this pack, the download is about 24 MB lighter, and the trucks are cheaper to draw from far away.

  • New: the Load Manager is built in — a Loads card in every freight line's window with a slider for each stop, a Load Manager button in a vehicle's window, and an overview page behind the PYT button. Set each stop to load one cargo, a mix, or nothing at all; Smart fill leaves one-cargo stops alone. No other mod is needed
  • New: you can switch it off. Don't want it? Open the mod manager, pick this mod and set PYT: Load Manager to Off before you load the game. Nothing of the Load Manager shows and nothing of it runs; the vehicles, their loading and their look are untouched. It is On by default
  • Plays well with others: the Load Manager is the tool inside the standalone mod PYT - Load Planner, and this pack carries its own copy of it. If you install PYT - Load Planner too, it runs the Load Manager and this copy stays quiet. With several PYT mixed-cargo mods, only one copy runs, so nothing ever shows twice
  • Lighter: the shop pictures are compressed without losing a pixel (about 24 MB off the download), and the trucks' far-away models are simpler — about three quarters fewer triangles from 400 m — which helps big fleets

1.2WORKED HARD

You told us the trucks looked like they'd just rolled out of a toy shop — and that four cabs pulling the same trailer wasn't much of a fleet. Fair. So every truck got its own trailer, a few hundred thousand kilometres on the clock, and the dirt to prove it.

In plain terms: four different trailers, a used and worked-in look, real exhausts and the small parts real trucks have.

  • Every truck its own trailer: the 1975 Tilt (canvas sheets that roll up, barn doors), the 1990 Box Van (a roll-up rear door), the 2010 Mega Curtain-Sider (a low deck and a first axle that lifts) and the 2025 Aero Box (rounded nose, boat tail, full skirts)
  • A hard-working look: road grime low down, spray behind the wheels, oil by the tank and fifth wheel, soot on the trailer front, dulled paint and chrome, and proper shadows in every crease — the 1975 the most worn, the 2025 the cleanest. Dirt and rust still build up as they age, as on the game's own trucks
  • Real exhausts on the three diesels, the smoke coming out of the stack
  • The details: rounded mirrors on proper arms, sun visors, wipers, steps, grab handles, mud flaps, the air lines between cab and trailer, a spare wheel slung under the frame
  • Your company name now painted along the top rail, as on a real fleet — sized so Japanese, Chinese and Korean names fit too
  • New names to match: Tilt (1975), Box Van (1990), Mega Curtain-Sider (2010), Aero Box (2025)
  • Drives like the game's own semis: the tractor and trailer now follow the road the way the base game's trucks do
  • Fair prices and loading: each truck now costs and loads like the game's own all-cargo truck of its years — the 1975 and 1990 like the MAN 19.304 (3×), the 2010 like the FAW J6P (5×), the 2025 like the Tesla Semi (2×). Carrying four kinds at once costs 25% more to run: the one price of the flexibility
  • Bigger shop icons: the trucks show at their real length in the buy list, like the game's own

1.1BALANCE

A big thank you to Knifff for this one! As he put it: “there must always be pros and cons, otherwise you only use that one.” He was right — so we changed it, in this pack and in its sister pack.

  • Balance: every truck now loads at the universal rate — half the specialist trucks' speed (10× → 5×). Flexible but slower to load.
  • The E-Tractor's lights now throw a proper pool on the road at night (aimed lower, a longer reach).
  • In plain terms: slower loading, brighter E-Tractor headlights.
